Heidi
Feinstein, Founder and CEO of Life Alive, is
a Natural Health Consultant, body-worker, and Expressive
Arts Therapist who recognizes the importance of eating
fresh, organic produce and whole grains on a daily basis...and
as a pleasure-seeker she knows that food must first
and foremost give us enjoyment! Heidi’s favorite meal is of course the Goddess, on
which she adds extra lemon juice, tamari roasted almonds,
avocado and winter squash. She eats this every day without
fail and with much relish! Heidi believes that
people flock to Life Alive because the “food is
divine and their bodies become more satisfied and energized.
Once people experience this connection, they know they
have what they need to achieve their personal potential.”
Heidi is currently devoted to building a collaborative
of small restaurants and educational institutions to
build passive solar urban greenhouses for year-round,
local food production. She wants to meet the growing
demand for fresh, organic, local food as soon as possible.
She is also seeking out the most radical new technology
for building energy efficient restaurants. Her vision
is to improve urban food production in small scale enterprises,
and to bring people together in this endeavor. She believes
that the multiplication of small-scale sustainable practices
is a powerful, activating means toward sustainability
and food security.
Heidi intends to expand Life Alive and its mission to
feed the vitality of the world by serving food grown
locally, and then prepared, stored and served with zero
waste in an energy efficient, ecological manner in spaces
designed by and for the community it serves. Each Life
Alive will celebrate renewable resources, permaculture
design and local artists. Please email Life Alive if
you want to get involved and contribute!
In addition to overseeing and growing Life Alive, Heidi
facilitates groups and works privately with individuals
to support human passion, connection, and potential.
She received her MA in Expressive Arts Therapy from
Lesley University, her Canadian Naturopathic and
Massage Diploma from the Institute for Natural
Health, and her BA in Eastern Philosophy and Religion from
George Washington University.
